New IBF North American Light Middleweight
title
By Kurt Wolfheimer, Friday, August 22 2008. The
bout was live on ESPN2, Photos Below
In the co-main, a battle of unbeatens for the vacant
IBF North American light middle belt, Harry Joe Yorgey
(21-0-1, 9 KOs), of Bridgeport, Pa., proved himself
the superior boxer, over game Jason LeHoullier (21-1-1,
8 KOs), of Portland, Me. Controlling the ring from the
outside and outhustling his foe, Yorgey popped away
with jabs and solid uppercuts while LeHoullier was unable
to close the distance. LeHoullier had success in the
sixth and seventh, scoring inside, but Yorgey took the
fight back with his work rate and strong flurries at
the end of each round. Though the fight appeared to
be a near-shutout for Yorgey, the judges scored it 117-111
and 116-112, for Yorgey, and, somehow, 114-114, giving
the Pennsylvanian a win by majority decision.

A fans story about Harry Joe's last impressive victory. Harry
Broke his jaw in two places in the 2nd round of his last fight
and continued boxing another four rounds to an unbelivable
victory:
By Jack Martinez, jackpmartinez@hotmail.com
I have seen a
few great fighters in my day get their chins checked in the
ring. I have seen allot of guys with a suspect chin prove
otherwise or glass. some guys they say have what it takes!
all the skills. I could always honestly and with no prejudice
say Harry is one of those special athletes.their are only
a couple of guys that I can recall who fought with a serious
injury and won. if you were one of the fortunate ones to be
at the Blue Horizon Fri. night you witnessed one of those
dig deep guys. make no mistake outside all the jabs, power,
quickness, stamina, strength and ring savvy there are a couple
of things they cant teach you Rhythm is one and he is blessed,
Heart is the other.HEART is how a few very special fighters
have been measured. I have never seen a more profound dig
Deep display of heart from any fighter than what Harry showed
us. I can only think of one boxer who fought with that kind
of heart. this man deserves his undefeated record.you would
have seen a white towel in the ring from any man less than
HAR as we like to call him. not to mention it was a unanimous
decision it was also impressive from a guy who is coming off
knee surgery and 9 month ring rust. larry brothers can hit
I have to admit he is a decent fighter, and coming off a 3
consecutive knockout run I cant take anything away from him.
I just want Harry to know there are people out there who know
the real deal and I couldn't have asked for anything more
from him, that was true championship inspiration courage and
HEART we witnessed at the blue. Thanks Harry!! Speedy recovery!
we love you boy!
